Neeraja Jyothish crowned as Miss Teen Kerala 2021
Neeraja Jyothish from Thiruvananthapuram has been crowned as the new Miss Teen Kerala 2021.
Dr Santhiago Rickson-Managing Director, Kruti International Group crowned Neeraja in the ceremony held at Hotel North 7 Kochi. Mr Sandeep Nair- General Manager Avanoor Jewelers, Mrs Lakshmi Atul-Mrs India Queen of Substance 2017 and Vice President IBC, Mr Rakesh- MD North 7, were the other chief guests for the grand finale. Neeraja who is pursuing her second year MBBS from Philippines will be representing Kerala in the upcoming National Pageant for Teen in Goa in the month of May.
Being a girl from an orthodox family, Neeraja has come this far with her strong self-confidence and support from her parents. Neeraja’s father Mr. Jyothish Kumar is a driver by profession and mother Mrs. Nisha is a telephone operator at Thiruvananthapuram. “When no one else believed in my dreams, my mother had a faith in me and that gave me the back support throughout my journey. I am passionate to become a model and always dreamt of representing India in international pageants” said Neeraja, on her winning speech.
Due to the current pandemic, the pageant was restricted to virtual audition rounds. Audition was based on cat walk, Personal Interview, Talent round etc. 20 contestants were selected in the final round from different parts of the state. Jury consisted of Mr Prince Peter- Aanttonio Films, Mr Rajesh Mathew- Creative Director and Thasveer M Salim.
“Our intention is to provide a national and international platform for the talents from Kerala” said Thasveer M Salim- Managing Director, Media Waves. “We are also coming up with Miss and Mrs pageants in a similar way in association with the title ‘Grand Universe’- a prestigious International pageant hosted in Philippines.
Neeraja walked in the elegant designer gown by Aham Boutique and the jewelry was designed by Avanoor Jewelers.
“We are very happy to associate with this wonderful event-Miss Teen Kerala- which encourages new talents to reach their goals” said Dr Santhiago.
