Posted on May 13, 2025May 13, 2025 by S Joseph

Nurses play an indispensable role in the delivery of healthcare services. In recognition of their contributions, Aster Prime Hospital, one of the leading hospitals in the city, organized a special Nurses’ Walkathon with the theme “Together We Heal.” The event was held on the occasion of International Nurses Day.

Over 60 nurses from Aster Prime Hospital participated in the walkathon, which commenced from the hospital premises and proceeded up to Ameerpet. The walkathon also carried the sub-theme “One Empowered Nurse, Hundreds of Healthy Lives,” highlighting the critical impact of nurses in patient care and community health.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Lintamole Joy, Nursing Superintendent at Aster Prime Hospital, said, “Nurses are the first responders and the last ones to leave a patient’s side, especially in intensive care units. Their commitment, compassion, and tireless efforts are instrumental in the recovery of patients. Through this walkathon, we aim to not only recognize their service but also raise awareness among the public about the pivotal role nurses play in the healthcare system.”

The event also sparked meaningful conversations among healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public about the invaluable contributions of nurses.
