Posted on April 1, 2026April 1, 2026 by S Joseph

Under the award-winning VU Block Model®, students study one or two subjects at a time in intensive blocks, supported by smaller classes, interactive teaching and continuous assessment designed to strengthen understanding.

Victoria University (VU), a leading Australian university set to open its new campus in Delhi NCR this August, has announced the launch of the VU Block Model® India Scholarship, aimed at making world-class education more accessible to Indian students.

The scholarship provides eligible Indian students with up to ₹3 lakh off first‑year tuition fees for undergraduate programmes in Business, Data Science, IT, and Cyber Security, as well as postgraduate programmes in Business Administration (Global) and Applied Information Technology, all focused on industry‑ready, globally oriented skills.

The merit-based scholarships will be considered for high-achieving students with strong academic performance and commitment to excellence. It will be awarded to students who submit their applications before 15 April 2026, (for first intake September 2026) with eligibility assessed automatically as part of the application process.

The initiative reflects Victoria University’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to international education through innovative learning models and targeted financial support for talented students.

Ranked among the top 3% of universities worldwide, Victoria University is recognised for its distinctive approach to teaching and strong focus on student success. Central to this approach is the award-winning VU Block Model®, under which students study one or two subjects at a time in intensive blocks, rather than managing several subjects simultaneously. Postgraduate courses study two subjects at a time in an eight-week block, while undergraduates study one subject at a time over four weeks.

The model combines smaller class sizes, interactive learning environments and continuous assessment, enabling students to focus more deeply on each subject while building practical, industry-relevant skills.

Monty Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) and Chief International Officer at Victoria University, said, “India is a key priority for Victoria University as growing numbers of students seek globally recognised education and career-ready skills. The VU Block Model® India Scholarship reflects our commitment to supporting talented Indian students by making international education more accessible.

“Combined with our unique VU Block Model®, which has significantly improved student engagement and academic outcomes, with sector leading graduate outcome benchmarks including success rates, we aim to equip all VU students with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving global workforce.”

With a legacy of 110 years in higher education, Victoria University today supports nearly 52,000 students across its campuses, delivering globally recognised programmes designed to support strong career outcomes.
