Posted on February 16, 2026February 16, 2026 by S Joseph
Hyderabad-based pastry chef and culinary consultant Sunitha Nair has been recognised as one of the Chef Icons of Hyderabad by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) at the prestigious World Young Chefs Olympiad — a global platform celebrating culinary excellence, innovation, and leadership.

The recognition is part of IIHM’s initiative to honour distinguished chefs whose work reflects professional rigour, sustained industry contribution, and a strong commitment to advancing culinary standards. The accolade places Sunitha among a select group of culinary professionals acknowledged for shaping the evolving hospitality landscape of their cities.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, London, Sunitha brings with her extensive experience from iconic fine-dining kitchens in London. Her global exposure has significantly influenced her refined pastry techniques, contemporary dessert aesthetics, and commitment to precision-driven craftsmanship.

Now based in Hyderabad, Sunitha operates as a pastry chef and culinary consultant through her brand Delice by Su, focusing on consulting assignments, curated dessert experiences, premium gifting solutions, and education-led initiatives. Beyond her commercial projects, she remains deeply invested in culinary education — working to make professional pastry techniques more accessible to aspiring chefs and serious home bakers.

Her recognition at the World Young Chefs Olympiad highlights Hyderabad’s growing presence on the global culinary map and reinforces the city’s emergence as a dynamic hub for innovation in hospitality and experiential dining.
