IndiGoReach, the CSR arm of IndiGo, has partnered with the Blind People’s Association (BPA), Ahmedabad, to launch its Skill Development Programme for underserved communities. BPA is one of India’s leading institutions in disability inclusion and rehabilitation.

Aligned with IndiGo’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the initiative aims to upskill 300 youth, including Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and individuals from gender-diverse communities. The programme is designed to enhance employability through relevant training and recognised certification for industries including travel, transportation, logistics, and hospitality, enabling participants’ transition towards sustainable livelihoods.

Rohini Bhatia, Chairperson, InterGlobe Foundation and Advisor to the CSR Committee, IndiGo said, “True inclusion is realised when we create pathways for every individual to contribute meaningfully to society. Our partnership with Blind People’s Association reflects a shared commitment to breaking barriers and fostering self-reliance, bringing together core values of inclusion, capability building, and community trust. By creating accessible and industry-relevant skill development pathways, IndiGoReach and InterGlobe Foundation are dedicated to empowering youth and persons with disabilities to transition towards sustainable and meaningful livelihoods, ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to realise their full potential.”

Skill development and capacity building is a core pillar of IndiGo’s CSR agenda. In FY2025–26, the airline reached over one lakh individuals through various skill development and capacity-building initiatives. Through this programme, IndiGoReach continues to invest in initiatives that not only build skills but also promote equity and contribute to a more inclusive and resilient economic ecosystem.

IndiGo recognises the value of a diverse workforce that encourages gender equality, champions the strengths of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and fosters an inclusive work environment for people from across communities. The airline has over 220 PwD employees, achieving over 1% representation of the applicable workforce.
