IndiGo Deploys its Second A321XLR on Delhi – Istanbul Route from 19 April 2026

Posted on April 3, 2026April 3, 2026 by S Joseph

IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, continues to build momentum on its internationalisation journey with the deployment of its second Airbus A321XLR on the Delhi–Istanbul route, with effect from 19 April 2026. This route is strategically important for IndiGo as it enables the airline to offer seamless onward connections to over 50 international destinations via IndiGo’s codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines.

For the first time on this sector, IndiGo will offer a dual‑class configuration with 183 Economy seats and 12 IndiGoStretch seats – IndiGo’s tailor-made business product. Customers across both cabins can enjoy complimentary hot meals and beverages inspired by global and local cuisines, with vegetarian options as default and non‑vegetarian meals available for pre‑booking. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase in Economy or via pre‑booking and are complimentary for IndiGoStretch customers. Additionally, the aircraft is equipped with a next‑generation digital inflight entertainment system that enables customers to stream a wide selection of content, including Indian and international films, television shows, games, anime, and more, directly on their personal devices.

Earlier this year, IndiGo became the first Indian carrier to induct the Airbus A321XLR into its fleet and launched operations to Athens, underlining a major milestone in the airline’s internationalisation journey. The new-generation aircraft offers enhanced range, fuel efficiency, and cabin comfort, enabling IndiGo to unlock new long-haul markets while delivering a significantly improved travel experience for customers.

Customers can plan and book their travel through IndiGo’s official website www.goIndiGo.in, mobile app, or authorised travel partners. They can also pre-book their meals and beverages, including alcoholic beverages. Additionally, they can personalise their travel experiences by opting for offerings that suit their respective preferences, including UpFront and Flexi, which give best value, comfort seats, complimentary snacks, and hassle-free cancellations.
