Posted on September 12, 2026September 12, 2026 by S Joseph

Inspired by a love for aviation from an early age, Gunjan has built an exceptional 17-year journey with IndiGo, progressing from Trainee to becoming the airline's first female Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Entering a field where women were few, she navigated challenges with determination, quickly earning her place through passion, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Over the years, she has played a vital role in troubleshooting complex issues, managing grounded aircraft situations, and supporting new aircraft inductions.

For Gunjan, the greatest reward comes from ensuring every aircraft is safe and ready to fly. As one of aviation's often unseen professionals, she takes pride in signing the airworthiness certification that marks the start of countless safe journeys. Her story is a testament to resilience, pioneering spirit, and the essential role engineering teams play.
