Discipline Matters!’: A New Practical Guide to Workplace Conduct and Behaviour Management Launched

Posted on September 14, 2026September 14, 2026 by S Joseph

Discipline Matters! — Managing Workplace Behaviour for Impact!, a practical guide on managing workplace behaviour and disciplinary processes, was launched on 5 September 2026, Teachers’ Day.

Co-authored by Narinder Singh Kainth, Narendra Kumar and GVRK Raju, the book draws on more than 100 years of collective experience in human resources, legal and labour laws, industrial relations, compliance and organisational leadership.

The launch was marked by a LinkedIn Live event hosted through Restream, bringing together HR and legal professionals, corporate leaders and others involved in workplace disciplinary processes.

The authors said the book is based partly on their experience of working together at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, where they handled complex workplace situations.

The book emphasises that workplace discipline is not merely about punishment, but also involves fairness, consistency, accountability, employee dignity and responsible leadership.

The guide examines the challenges organisations face while managing employee behaviour and disciplinary matters.

It aims to serve as a practical resource for HR and legal professionals, business leaders, managers and others responsible for workplace conduct, procedural fairness and legal compliance.
