Community-led wellness movement impacts over 5,000 lives through APM Terminals’ grassroots CSR initiative

APM Terminals Pipavav successfully conducted a week-longYoga and Health Awareness Program across 90 villages in Rajula and nearby Talukas. The initiative commemorated International Yoga Dayas part of its continued efforts for community well-being. The event impacted over 5,000 individuals—including school children, farmers, fishermen, livestock owners, and women—promoting the message of “Har Ghar Yoga”, emphasising long-term rural health resilience.

The awareness drive, led in partnership with theirSkill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI), featured daily yoga sessions and interactive competitions such as poster-making, essay writing, and poetry. A targeted webinar for farmers and fishermen on the practical health benefits of yoga in their day-to-day lives was also conducted.

Women from local Self Help Groups (SHGs) demonstrated leadership by championing the practice of yoga in their communities. This was a key highlight; as the women spread awareness about health benefits andalso conducted yoga sessions for other women in their villages. This transformed the campaign into a peer-led wellness movement.

Trainees at SEDI carried forward the campaign momentum with regular yoga sessions in their native villages. This ensured that the campaign's benefits extended beyond a one-week program, emphasising on their key motto,“Har Ghar Yoga—Being Healthy is Cheaper. Being unhealthy is costlier.”
