Free Medical Camp Organized at SR Nagar Police Station

Many police personnel, deeply engrossed in their duties throughout the year, often tend to neglect their own health. However, due to the stress involved in their work, there is a significant risk to their well-being, said Dr. Devanand, CEO of Aster Prime Hospital. He emphasized the importance of police officers paying attention to their health.

On Saturday, Aster Prime Hospital conducted a free medical camp for the staff at SR Nagar Police Station. The camp was held from 7 AM to 3 PM and included tests for weight, height, blood pressure, random blood sugar, hemoglobin, and eye check-ups. Based on doctors' recommendations, some personnel also underwent ECG, 2D Echo, and cancer screening tests.

The camp was inaugurated in the morning by CI Srinath Reddy. Around 100 police personnel, including ACP Gangireddy and SI Shravan Kumar, participated in the camp and availed themselves of the medical services.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Devanand said that police officers, who work tirelessly for the welfare of the public, should also think about their own well-being and that of their families. He pointed out that many officers don’t even get time for basic exercise due to work pressure. He strongly recommended comprehensive health check-ups at least once a year to maintain good health. Stress-induced conditions like hypertension and diabetes are becoming increasingly common, he noted, and stressed that regular monitoring can help prevent the onset of many diseases.
