Posted on July 22, 2024July 22, 2024 by S Joseph

EuroKids, the country’s foremost preschool expert, celebrated Guru Purnima with great fervor across 100+ centres, involving over 3500 toddlers in a series of enriching activities that underscored the importance of teachers in early childhood development. This celebration aimed to foster a sense of respect and gratitude towards educators from an early age, aligning with EuroKids’ commitment to holistic early childhood education.

Guru Purnima is a momentous cultural celebration devoted to honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers and mentors in shaping lives. This celebration underscores EuroKids’ unwavering commitment to fostering a nurturing and respectful learning environment where both teachers and students can thrive together. It holds special significance to involve toddlers in this celebration as it sows the seeds of respect and admiration for educators from an early age. Through these festivities, EuroKids endeavors to instill values of appreciation and acknowledgement for the impactful guidance provided by teachers, thus cultivating a culture of gratitude among the young learners.

The celebration included a range of engaging activities aimed at educating and entertaining the participants. One of the main activities was the Tree-Planting Tribute, during which each class planted a tree in honor of their teachers, representing growth and nurturing. The trees were named after the teachers, and the ceremony was a lively event, with children and teachers working together to plant and adorn the garden area, highlighting the theme of growth and continuity.

Another highlight was the Teacher-Student Talent Show, which saw toddlers dressed in traditional attire performing alongside their teachers. This talent show included entertainment performances such as singing, dancing, and role plays, celebrating the unique bond between students and teachers. The event not only highlighted the talents of the children but also showcased the collaborative spirit between teachers and students. Additionally, the celebrations featured storytelling sessions focused on the lives and teachings of famous gurus, team-building exercises, arts and crafts workshops where children created thank-you cards for their teachers, and interactive sessions on the importance of respecting and valuing educators.

Reflecting on the heartfelt celebration, KVS Seshasai, CEO of Pre-K Division, Lighthouse Learning (EuroKids), said, “At EuroKids, we strongly believe in the transformative power of early education and the crucial role that teachers play in this journey. Celebrating Guru Purnima allows us to honor our dedicated educators and teach our young learners the importance of gratitude and respect. The enthusiasm and participation of our toddlers in these activities truly embody the spirit of this day.”

Speaking on the successful Guru Purnima celebration, Kanhaiya Kumar, EuroKids Partner, Yewalewadi, Pune, said, “At EuroKids Yewalewadi, we are immensely proud to have celebrated Guru Purnima with our preschoolers through a unique plantation drive. This event successfully instilled core values such as respect for nature and reverence for our Gurus in the children. We are dedicated to blending cultural appreciation with practical environmental actions, sowing the seeds of love for nature and profound respect for teachers in the hearts of our preschoolers.”

For the past two decades, EuroKids has been committed to providing high-quality early childhood education, recognizing the importance of starting as early as two years old. By focusing on inculcating essential 21st-century skills in children, EuroKids continues to create a nurturing and respectful learning environment.
