Posted on March 29, 2025March 29, 2025 by S Joseph

The 8th edition of the Wakefit Great Indian Sleep Scorecard 2025 reveals sleep deprivation trends, with late-night scrolling, stress, and insomnia on the rise

Wakefit.co, a D2C sleep and home solutions provider, presents the 8th edition of its in-house annual survey, The Great Indian Sleep Scorecard (GISS) 2025, offering a data-driven perspective on India’s evolving sleep patterns. The latest findings highlight a trend of sleep deprivation, with digital distractions and stress emerging as major disruptors in Delhi.

Key Findings from the Survey

●        Sleep Deprivation Persists:  50% of Gurugram and 46% of Delhi go to bed post 11 pm, well beyond the recommended bedtime of 10 p.m

●        Rising Fatigue & Insomnia Concerns: 52% of Delhi residents report not feeling refreshed after waking up in the morning

●        Digital Disruptions Continue: Gurugram records one of the highest incidences of bedtime phone usage at 95% and in Delhi, 88% have have the habit of using phones before bedtime. Consequently, Gurugram (56%) and Delhi (59%) feel sleepy during work hours.

A Slow Shift Towards Better Sleep Habits

Despite the above trends, awareness about sleep quality is slowly on the rise. To improve their sleep quality, Gurugram (41%) and Delhi (36%) choose to avoid using digital devices, and 32% in Delhi are actively working towards building a consistent sleep routine.

As Delhi and Gurugram grapple with persistent sleep challenges, the findings indicate the need for lifestyle changes to ensure healthier sleep patterns.

The Great Indian Sleep Scorecard is an annual in-house survey by Wakefit.co, now in its eighth edition. The 2025 report analyzed 4,500+ responses collected between March 2024 and February 2025, covering a diverse demographic across Indian cities and age groups. Wakefit.co aims to contribute to the sleep and home solutions ecosystem, through data-driven insights and awareness-building initiatives.
