The Department of Language and Culture, in association with CLIC, organized the grand celebration of Bathukamma Festival at Ravindra Bharathi today, uniting participants from across India in the true spirit of Unity in Diversity.

Hon’ble Minister of Tourism Sri Jupally Krishna Reddy, Director of the Department of Language and Culture Sri Narasimha Reddy, and Convenor Shree Parmanand Sharma graced the occasion. They welcomed members from all states, emphasizing Bathukamma’s role in showcasing Telangana’s heritage while strengthening cultural bonds nationwide.

This year’s festival saw wide participation from across the country:
• Telangana: Representatives Smt. Annapurna Gadepalli and Smt. Veena Kamlapalli led the celebrations, with performances by Hamsa Institutions, Varalakshmi and team, and Sri Deepti Nrityalam.
• Kerala: Sri Ajith and Sri Manoharan Nair.
• Karnataka: Sri Vital Joshi and Sri Surendar Katagiri.
• Gujarat: Sri Kalpesh Shah and Komal.
• Tamil Nadu: Smt. Sharadha Santosh, Smt. Arunmathi, and Sri Rajkumar.
• Bihar: Sri Hemanth Singh.
• West Bengal: Smt. Moushumi.
• Uttarakhand: Arohi and Sri Jaipal Singh.
• Maharashtra: Dr. Sri Shyam Sunder.

Their enthusiastic participation highlighted how Bathukamma transcends regional boundaries and brings together diverse traditions.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Sri Narasimha Reddy noted that elaborate arrangements were made to ensure an inclusive and joyous celebration. The evening resonated with music, dance, and devotion, reflecting India’s cultural richness.

The Bathukamma celebration at Ravindra Bharathi was a grand success, standing as a shining example of India’s cultural unity — diverse in expression, yet one in spirit.
