
In a significant step toward promoting liver health and early detection of liver diseases, Aster Prime Hospital has launched a specialized Liver Clinic on the occasion of Global Fatty Liver Day 2025.
The initiative comes in response to the alarming rise in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which now affects nearly one-third of the adult population in India. Dr. Srujan Kumar B, Lap& General surgeon comment that Fatty Liver is often called a “silent disease,” because it typically shows no symptoms in its early stages but can lead to serious complications such as cirrhosis, liver failure, and even liver cancer if left undiagnosed.
