AINU Vizag Marks Milestone 5th Anniversary with Remarkable Healthcare Achievements

AP’s 1st comprehensive kidney care hospital Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) celebrated a significant milestone as it marked its 5th anniversary on Saturday. The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished medical professionals, including Managing Director & Senior Consultant Urologist Dr. G. Ravindra Varma, Executive Director & Senior Consultant Urologist Dr. Amit Saple, Consultant Urologist Dr. P. Sridhar, Anesthesiologist Dr. Shyam Peri, and Consultant Nephrologist Dr. Uday Dipakrao Gajare, along with a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and support staff.

Equipped with a 50-bed facility, six advanced dialysis units, and three state-of-the-art operation theaters, AINU Vizag ensures round-the-clock availability of high-quality medical care to its patients.

Over the course of these five years, AINU Vizag has emerged as a beacon of hope for patients suffering from kidney ailments in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha & Chattisgarh with an impressive record of accomplishments. The institute has successfully performed 13 kidney transplantations where Donor nephrectomy is done Laparoscopically ensuring faster patient recovery. It has provided dialysis services to more than 12000 patients with a Single dialyser policy ensuring a stringent infection free protocol and under Nephrologist’s supervision.

Additionally, they have delivered 2,500 emergency services, conducted 60,000 outpatient consultations, and provided 8,500 inpatient services, serving a total of 2.15 lakh individuals through a combination of outpatient care, inpatient services, investigations, dialysis, surgeries, and outreach camps.

More than 10,000 surgeries have been performed which includes Laser stone surgeries ,Prostate surgeries,Laparoscopic surgeries for disorders of Urinary tract and Urological cancers etc.

With a team of highly trained expert urologists AINU provides several subspeciality services like Pediatric urology,Female Urology,Uro-oncology,Laparoscopic Urology,reconstructive surgeries and Andrology services etc. AINU has provided minimally invasive Laparoscopic Urology services for more than 1000 patients which includes nearly 200 plus children aged less than 3 years.

AINU is the 1st hospital to introduce Laser prostate surgery (HOLEP) in coastal andhra. This is a safer and more efficient procedure for patients with prostate problem.

AINU has also recently done a revolutionary procedure for the first time in the state called UROLIFT for patients with prostate problem who are not fit for surgery. This is a minimally invasive procedure which can be done under Local anesthesia and as a daycare procedure.

AINU is equipped with state of the art equipments like High power laser,Advanced Laparoscopic equipments and Laminar flow OT.

AINU is the only hospital to have a dedicated Urodynamics suite to diagnose complex functional disorders of urinary tract.

As a recognition to its services Times of India has bestowed upon AINU “Times Icon Healthcare award” for best renal sciences hospital in AP which was awarded by ex-vice president Mr.Venkaiah naidu.
