BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, the global No. 1 NEV (New Energy Vehicle) manufacturer, today announced the launch of the BYD SEALION 7 Festive Edition, a limited-edition version of its premium electric SUV featuring an exclusive Tan & Black interior. Limited to just 150 units, the Festive Edition will be available at INR 50.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and is based exclusively on the SEALION 7 Premium variant. The introduction extends BYD India’s ‘Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD’ festive campaign, bringing together the spirit of celebration with the design, technology and performance credentials of the SEALION 7.

Speaking on the introduction, Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, said,“As we continue to expand our presence in India’s premium electric vehicle segment, we are focused on creating products and experiences that resonate with the evolving aspirations of Indian customers. The SEALION 7 Festive Edition is an extension of that approach, bringing a distinctive Tan & Black interior to the Premium variant in a limited run for the festive season. At its core, it retains the technology, safety and performance that define the SEALION 7, while offering customers a differentiated expression of the model. With this edition, we look forward to building on the strong response the SEALION 7 has received in India.”

The Tan & Black interior serves as the key visual differentiator of the Festive Edition, adding a warmer and more sophisticated character to the SEALION 7’s cabin. The edition retains the core specifications and features of the SEALION 7 Premium, including its 82.56 kWh Blade Battery, supported by BYD’s Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology and Intelligence Torque Adaption Control (iTAC). The Premium variant delivers 230 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds and a claimed range of 567 km as per the NEDC test cycle.

The SEALION 7 also combines its electric performance with a premium technology and comfort package, including a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade and heads-up display. Safety remains central to the product proposition, with the SEALION 7 featuring 11 airbags and a 5-Star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

Since its introduction in 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has attracted strong customer response, with more than 4500 units currently in operation across India, establishing a strong presence in the premium EV segment in 2026. The eSUV has also earned recognition across the automotive industry, including a maximum 5-Star safety rating from Euro NCAP, Luxury Mid-size SUV of the Year at the ACKO Drive TOTM 2026, Premium EV of the Year at the car&bike Awards 2026, Premium SUV of the Year at the TV9 Awards, and Best EV Design at the CarBike360 Auto Excellence Awards 2026.

Reinforcing BYD’s broader leadership in electric mobility and battery technology, its Blade Battery was recognised as the Best New EV Battery Technology at the CarBike360 Auto Excellence Awards 2026, while BYD was honoured as the Pioneer in Battery Technology by Jagran Hi-Tech. The company also ranks No. 91 on the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list, marking its fifth consecutive year on the prestigious index.
