Black Dog Scotch Whisky invites you to ‘Savour the Sip’ with Refreshed Packaging

Posted on July 15, 2026July 15, 2026 by S Joseph

A refreshed design that blends heritage, provenance, and a renewed invitation to savour every sip.

Black Dog Whisky, one of India’s most iconic blended Scotch whisky brands, unveiled a refined new packaging that marks a confident evolution of a legacy spanning over 140 years. More than a visual refresh, the new design reflects a deeper expression of the brand’s character inviting consumers to slow down and savour every sip.

Founded in 1883, Black Dog’s story begins with its founder, Sir Walter Millard, who believed in a simple philosophy: true mastery comes from being fully present and letting time reveal its magic to create something truly extraordinary. From these Scottish origins, Black Dog has travelled farinto the hearts of millions of discerning consumers in Indiabecoming a whisky associated with milestones, meaningful moments, and quiet confidence.

The refreshed design introduces subtle ‘savour codes’ with refined detailing, premium cues, and a cleaner visual language, crafted to resonate with a younger, evolving audience while remaining unmistakably Black Dog.

At the heart of this evolution is the brand’s renewed expression, ‘Savour the Sip’—an invitation to experience Scotch as a deliberate, immersive ritual. Masterfully blended from select distilleries across Scotland, including the celebrated Linkwood Distillery where skilled distillers perfect every drop, the blend reflects a delicate three-cask maturation process that celebrates craftsmanship and nuanced flavour.

Strengthening a sharper premium architecture, the refreshed Black Dog Whisky portfolio features two distinct variants, each offering a unique tasting experience:

  • Black Dog Black Reserve – A rich, rounded Scotch whisky crafted from select Scottish malts, delivering malty depth with subtle oak and sherry sweetness for a balanced finish
  • Black Dog Triple Gold Reserve – A luxurious, triple cask matured Scotch whisky aged in Scotland, offering smooth, layered notes of oak, toffee, and vanilla with a warm, lingering finish

Commenting on the evolution, Varun Koorichh, Vice President – Marketing & Portfolio Head, Diageo India, said,“Black Dog carries a Scotch legacy that goes back generations, crafted with a quiet confidence that never needs to shout. A blend shaped by some of the Scotland’s finest distilleries, including Linkwood, it’s a whisky that rewards the drinker who takes a moment to truly notice it. As today’s consumers evolve seeking more meaning, more craft, and more intentional moments we wanted Black Dog to feel as relevant as it has always been. This refreshed packaging is our way of honouring the heritage while inviting a new generation to make it their own, so every sip becomes a moment worth savouring.”
