13 thousand Divyangjan created history by visiting Amrit Udyan: President Draupadi Murmu
It was magnificent to see 13 thousand Divyangjans creating history on Wednesday by visiting Amrit Udyan in Rashtrapati Bhawan. Among those individuals who came to visit Amrit Udyan, a sizable number of students were from special schools in Delhi. 50 of these youngsters, led by Vice-Principal Madhuri Mishra and other teachers visited Amrit Udyan from the Pramila Bai Chauhan Deaf School in Karkardooma. The kids had a fantastic time and were amazed by the beauty of the garden. Children were excited to have President Murmu among them.
The Department of Empowerment of People with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, planned a special visit to Amrit Udyan only for the differently-abled. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Physically Handicapped (PDUNIPPD) was given the responsibility of the nodal agency for this event. The success of this event was greatly aided by the efforts of numerous Divyangjan Sansthans, Schools, NGOs, the Delhi Social Welfare Department, the Education Department, and the Municipal Council of Delhi.
The vice principal of Pramilabai School expressed her happiness over the occasion and praised the government for taking such a commendable action. She added that more programs like this one should be conducted regularly to ensure that the students in this class receive the most educationally relevant information possible.
